We finally got our theater room done. It has 7.1 sound, a 58 inch 1080p plasma screen, dimmable lighting, and lots more. It’s a lot of fun to watch movies in. There are 4 circuits powering 12 outlets, 7 lights (16 bulbs), and a fan

Event dates
I just updated all the website software and plugins and the backend code for the calendar reader seems to be broken and reporting all the dates one day early. I apologize. For now, just add one to the date. For example, Ashley’s birthday is listed as the 19th, but is really the 20th. I’ll see if I can get time soon to fix it if the person that writes the plugin doesn’t fix it first.
Downstairs is coming along
We’ve been working on getting the downstairs done. Jason and my dad helped do the framing a couple weeks ago. Today I finally finished all the electrical and I’m about to run the 7.1 speaker wires. There are 4 circuits powering the room. It has 11 outlets, 4 ethernet cables, 3 coaxial cables, 1 hdmi, 9 sconces for light, and a ceiling fan. This weekend Jason should be over to help me put up drywall. The speakers and tv have arrived already and are sitting, anxiously waiting to get to be put into the new room.
Weekly update
So far I’m on track to finish my first class of the semester in about 6-7 weeks (about 2-3) left. It’s actually a pretty fun class. It’s about networking, security, etc.
Suzy and I went camping over the weekend with a couple friends. It was lots of fun. I have pictures and will post more info when I post the pics.
Photo Shooter sales are up a little and I’ve almost got picture posting to Facebook ready to submit.
Weekly update
Well, another busy week. I am getting a lot of school done. I’m working on my Network+ 2009 class. I am attempting to get it done in six weeks (about three more) instead of months.
I’ve started rewriting my SCUBA dive log app for the iPhone. Tring to use all the cool new stuff OS 3.0 added. Last night I submitted an update to Photo Shooter to add airsoft as a weapon and a free lite version that is paintball only to let people try it out.
Work has gotten busy again. Always either nothing to do or 10 different tasks all at once.
I’ve started using RunKeeper and Nike+ for the iPhone to log and track my cycling and running. I hadn’t realized quite how far I go in a day just between the bus, work, and home.
Photo Shooter is live!
Photo Shooter is now available for purchase in the iTunes App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Update
Yes, I’m still alive. Sorry it has been so long since last update. I’ve been very busy. I got Apple’s student scholarship (400 students from around the world) to attend their World Wide Developer’s Conference. I got to watch the keynote about the new Mac OS and iPhone in person this year. It was amazing. I spent the week learnig all sorts of great things. Lots of fun sessions. Got a great lunch sessions by Smule, ngmoco, and moonviews.com. Apple did a bash across the street from the conference and had CAKE perform live while giving us lots of food and drink.
I’ve been busy with school work and making a new iPhone application (actually a couple). I have Photo Shooter awaiting approval by Apple. I’ve also been writing a chart app for the iPhone I’m hoping will find a way to be released at some point. So I’ve been showing off that to everyone I can at work. A coworker and I have been doing it during our lunch breaks.
I got the new iPhone 3GS. I’m really loving it. It’s a pretty big upgrade over the 3G. I’m using it right now to type up all this. The downside of my phone is it makes my recently purchased laptop a bit obsolete. I find myself using my phone a lot more often than I do my laptop. It stilll has purposes though.
Long hike
We went for a drive and saw a cliff. So, we hiked the three miles down the steep mountain side to get to the beach. Breathtaking view. I got tons of great shots that I’ll post when we get back. Right now we are headed to celebrate Cinco De Mayo by eating at a Mexican Restauraunt. We saw tons of rock stack towers that people made on the beach. I found some pretty shells. Then we got soaked in a rain. Hiked around some more and then back up the mountain side. Here is a shot I got with my phone at the start of the hike.
